Malín Alegria is a Chicana writer, speaker, and mentor hailing from the vibrant streets of San Francisco's Mission District. Growing up amidst the inspiring presence of social justice activists and artists, she draws inspiration from her Mexican-American heritage, a deep commitment to environmental justice, and an infectious ability to find humor in life's quirks
With a degree from UC Santa Barbara and an MA in Education, Malín's passion extends beyond the written word. She proudly serves as an educator, nurtures organic gardens, advocates for seed preservation, engages in Aztec dance traditions, and captivates audiences as an inspirational speaker.
